Life Hack - Nanoleaf Outdoor String Lights and what to do when they break.

Recently no 4 bulb on my Nanoleaf Outdoor String Lights failed, and so I only had 3 lights (Isn't there something to do with Jean-Luc Picard here?). I contacted Nanoleaf support and they gave me a few tests to do, and it was obvious that this was not a controller issue and so Nanoleaf immediately replaced the string. Well done Nanoleaf. This left me with quite a bit of e-waste and I detest throwing stuff away if I can manage not to. It looked like you can split the bulb holder, but you can't. All you do is remove the glass. Therefore, I  decided to remove bulb no 4 and see if the rest of the string would work. I purchased an IP68 rated  3 Pole Waterproof Junction Box Outdoor Cable Connector from Amazon,  one of which you can see above. A packet of 5 cost me £8. This tied together the 2 parts of the string I had after removing Bulb 4, and it worked! Sure, now I have 19 bulbs instead of 20... but I feel like I got 19 more for £8 and 5 minutes work.
